How do I register HAL products using iLok ?
You need an iLok account to register your HAL software. If you don’t have one, please create one at ilok.com. Then, make sure to download and install the free iLok License Manager to activate and manage your plug-in licenses.
To activate your plug-in:
• Open your DAW and a pop-up window will automatically prompt you to enter your iLok User ID and the product’s activation code,
or
•Open iLok Licence Manager and go to Licences > Redeem Activation Code, then enter your product’s activation code.
In iLok Licence Manager, select the licenses that you wish to activate in the « Available » tab. Right-click on the license and select « Activate ». Choose your desired location by clicking on it and select « Activate ».
You can now start using your HAL product.
Where do I find my software manual ?
The manual of your HAL software can be downloaded directly from the « Download » page of every product, or from the « Downloads » page accessible from the header of HAL website.

How can I use a software free trial ?
To use the free trial of one of our software, please go on any software product page and click on the « Free Trial » button. Once the order is complete, you will receive an iLok code that you can activate in the free iLok License Manager software. For more information, see the question above « How do I register HAL products using iLok ? ».
Then, install our software with its installer file (https://www.hal-audio.com/downloads/). You can now start using your HAL product free trial.
Where do I find my invoices ?
You can find your order history in the "Orders" page at www.hal-audio.com/my-account/orders/ and download your invoices by clicking on the "Invoice" button next to each order.
How can I retrieve an iLok license from an unusable / broken / stolen computer ?
• Open iLok License Manager and log in.
• Locate and right-click on the inaccessible computer in the left-hand sidebar, then select “Report as Unusable”. Check the details in the dialog box, provide a reason for the reset request and tick the “I understand that this is permanent and irreversible and I would still like to continue reporting this location” option, then click Submit Request.
• We will then manually reset the blocked activations on this machine. Machine reset requests are usually approved within 24 hours (working days). A confirmation email will be sent to you by iLok as soon as we have approved the request.
